INDEMNITY BOND

Whereas sub-rule (e) of rule 42 of the J&K General Sales Tax Rules, 1962 requires that in the event of refund voucher (hereinafter referred to as the voucher) being lost or damaged in the custody of the refundee before encashment the obligor to furnish an indemnity bond to the Assessing Authority.

AND WHEREAS the obligor has lost or damaged the Voucher and was issued to him by ........................................... (name & designation of the authority) on ................................... (name and address of the Treasury) in respect of the particulars mentioned below.

Now the condition of the above written bond or obligation is such that the obligor shall in the event of a loss suffered by the Government (in respect of which the decision of the Government or the authority appointed for the purpose shall be final and binding on the obligor) as a result of the mis-use, encashment of the said Voucher, pay to the Government on demand and without demur the said sum of Rs. ........................................... (in words) and shall otherwise indemnify and keep the Government harmless and indemnified against and from all liabilities incurring by the Government as a result of the misuse of the said Voucher.
