In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (5) of section 4 of the Rajasthan Value Added Tax Act, 2003 (Act No. 4 of 2003), the State Government being of the opinion that it is expedient in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule I appended to the said Act, with immediate effect, namely:-

AMENDMENTS

In Schedule IV appended to the Act,-

(i) in column number 2 against serial number 24, for the existing expression "Buckets made of iron and steel, aluminium, plastic or other materials (except precious materials) " the expression "Buckets made of iron and steel, aluminium, plastic or other materials (except iron or steel precious materials)" shall be substituted.

(ii) in column number 2 against serial number 51, for the existing expression "Flour, Atta, Maida, Suji, Besan etc." the expression "Flour other than made of maize, Jowar, Bajra and wheat including fortified flour of wheat" shall be substituted.

(iii) the existing serial number 96, and entries thereto shall be deleted.

(iv) in column number 2 against serial number 97, for the existing expression "Paper of all kinds, all kinds of stationary goods, all types of exercise book, graph book, laboratory note book, paper board and waste thereof." the expression "Paper of all kinds other than hand made paper, all kinds of stationary goods, all types of exercise book, graph book, laboratory note book other than made from handmade paper, paper board and waste thereof." shall be substituted.

(v) in column number 2 against serial number 156, for the existing expression "Box, kothi, sandook, peti, milk cane, bhagona made from iron sheet; weight and measures, tawa, kadai, tai, sigri, chimta, imamdasta, musali, jhar and chalani" the expression " tawa, kadai, tai, sigri, chimta, imamdasta, musali, jhar and chalani made from other than the iron or steel" shall be substituted

(vi) in column number 2 against serial number 175, for the existing expression "Electronic Weights & Measures excluding weighing bridge" the expression "Weights & Measures including Electronic Weights & Measures excluding weighing bridge. " shall be substituted

(vii) in column number 2 against serial number 193, for the existing expression "Desert coolers having body made of iron and steel" the expression "Desert coolers and Room Coolers" shall be substituted

(viii) after the existing serial number 196, the following new serial numbers and entries thereto shall be added namely:-
