In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of section 78 of the Andhra Pradesh Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Act No.5 of 2005), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Value Added Tax Rules, 2005 issued in G.O.Ms.No.394, Revenue (CT.II) Department, dated the 31st March, 2005 and published in the Rules supplementary to part-I extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette No.29, dated the 20th April, 2005 as subsequently amended from time to time.
2. This amendments shall come into force on and with effect from 22.10.2010
AMENDMENTS
In the said rules;
In Rule 59, in sub-rule (1), in the Table against Serial Number 1 under column (2), for the words, "Commercial Tax Officer of the Circle concerned (or any other officer not below the rank of Commercial Tax Officer, duly authorized by the Commissioner)" the following shall be substituted, namely:
"Any other officer not below the rank of Assistant Commercial Tax Officer, duly authorized by the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes"
