In exercise of powers conferred by Section 6 of the Orissa Entry Tax Act, 1999 (Orissa Act 11 of 1999), the State Government having been satisfied that it is necessary so to do in the public interest, do hereby exempt the scheduled goods brought into the local area which would be procured by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for installation in different weather forecasting stations in the State in connection with improvement of weather forecast, from levy of tax under the said Act:

Provided that the Head of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in charge of installation of meteorological instruments/equipments in the State shall furnish necessary certificate in the proforma hereto annexed to the effect that such machinery and equipments procured are for exclusive use in connection with the improvement of weather forecast.
