In pursuance of clause (b) read with clause (e) of subsection (1) of Section 4 of the Orissa Value Added Tax Act, 2004 (Orissa Act 4 of 2005) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of Orissa in the Finance Department No. 2755/F., dated the 20th January, 2007 the State Government do hereby appoint Shri Ranjeet Kumar Banarjee, a member of Orissa Superior Judicial Service as the 1st Judicial Member of the Orissa Sales Tax Tribunal, Cuttack in place of Shri G.R. Purohit, O.S.J.S. (Senior Branch) whose services are placed at the disposal of Home Department in the Finance Department order No. 26844/F., dated the 2nd June, 2009.

This will take immediate effect from the date Shri Ranjeet Kumar Banarjee assumes the charge as such.
