In exercise of the power conferred by subsection (2) of section 1 of the West Bengal Finance Act, 2008 (West Ben. Act 1 of 2008) hereinafter referred to as the said Act). The Governor is pleased hereby to appoint-

(a) the 1^st day of April, 2008, as the date on which section 1 of the said Act shall come into force;

(b) the 1^st day of April, 1992 as the date on which section 4 of the said Act shall be demand to have come into force;

(c) the 1^st day of January, 2008 as the date on which clause (1) of section 6 shall be demand to have come into force;

(d) the 1^st day of August, 2006 as the date of which clause (3) , and sub-clause (a) of clause (4), of section 7 and clause (3) of section 9 shall be demand to have come into force;

(e) the 1^st day of December, 2007, as the date on which sub-clause (e) of clause (11) of section 9 shall be deemed to have come into force;

(f) the 1^st day of April, 2005, as the date on which sub-clause (a) of clause (13), and clause (22), of section 9 shall be deemed to have come into force;

(g) the 1^st day of April, 2008, as the date on which the remaining provisions of the said Act shall come into force.
