In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the West Bengal Finance Act, 2007 (West Ben. Act III of 2007) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Governor is pleased hereby to appoint

(a) the 1st day of April, 2007, as the date on which section 1 of the said Act shall come into force;

(b) the 1st day of August, 2006, as the date on which clause (2), clause (5) and clause (6) of section 7, sub-clause (b) of clause (4) of section 8, and sub-clause (a) and sub-clause (b) of clause (3) and clause (11) of section 10 shall be deemed to have come into force;

(c) the 1st day of April, 2005, as the date on which clause (7), clause (8), sub-clause (a) of clause (10), clause (13), and item (ii) of sub-clause (c) of clause (15), of section 10 shall be deemed to have come into force;

(d) the 1st day of June, 2005, as the date on which item (i) of sub-clause (c) of clause (15) of section 10 shall be deemed to have come into force;

(e) the 1st day of April, 2007, as the date on which the remaining provisions, other than sub-clause (f) of clause (14) of section 10, of the said Act shall come into force.
