THE WEST BENGAL VALUE ADDED TAX ACT, 2003 NOTIFICATIONS

NOTIFICATION No. 799 F.T., Dated 31st March, 2005.

In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of section 6 of the West Bengal Value Added Tax Act, 2003 (West Ben. Act XXXVII of 2003 ), the Governor is pleased hereby to specify, the areas mentioned in column (3) of the Table below against each Circle mentioned in the corresponding entries in column (2) of the said Table over which the Deputy Commissioner of Sales Tax and the Assistant Commissioner of Sales Tax posted in such Circles shall respectively exercise jurisdiction.

2.	Kolkata (South) Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Bhowanipore Charge, Ballygunge Charge, Park Street Charge, Taltola charge, Beliaghata Charge and New Market Charge.
3.	Burrabazar Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Chinabazar Charge, Strand Road Charge, Netaji Subhas Road Charge, Monohar Katra Charge and Raja Katra Charge.
4.	Chowringhee Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Radhabazar Charge, Lalbazar Charge, Lyons Range Charge, Fairlie Place Charge, Naren Dutta Sarani Charge and Esplanade Charge.
5.	Dharmatala Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Sealdah Charge, Bowbazar Charge, Chandnichowk Charge, Princep Street Charge, Amratola Charge, Armenian Street Charge, Colootola Charge, College Street Charge and Ezra Street Charge.
6.	24-Parganas Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Barasat Charge, Barrackpore Charge, Salt Lake Charge, Cossipore Charge, Belgachhia Charge and Ultadanga Charge.
7.	Behala Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Behala Charge, Budge Budge Charge, Diamond Harbour Charge, Baruipur Charge and Alipore Charge.
8.	Howrah Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Howrah Charge, Kadamtala Charge and Shibpore Charge.
9.	Bally Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Bally Charge, Salkia Charge and Serampore Charge.
10.	Midnapore Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Midnapore Charge and Tamluk Charge.
11.	Asansol Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Asansol Charge and Purulia Charge.
12.	Durgapur Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Durgapur Charge, Burdwan Charge, Bankura Charge and Suri Charge.
13.	Berhampore Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Berhampore Charge and Krishnagar Charge.
14.	Siliguri Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Siliguri Charge and Darjeeling Charge.
15.	Raiganj Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Raiganj Charge, Maldah Charge and Balurghat Charge.
16.	Jalpaiguri Circle	Areas included in the jurisdiction of Jalpaiguri Charge and Cooch Behar Charge.

2. This notification shall come into force with effect from the 1 st day of April, 2005 .
