Subject to the provisions of rule 7 every registered dealer shall within one calendar month of the expiry of each year furnish to the Assistant Sales Tax Officer or Sales Tax Officer a return in Form I showing particulars in respect of sales tax payable by him for that year on the sales effected by him in the course of inter-State trade or commerce.
