In supersession of the Government of Punjab, Department of Excise and Taxation, Notification No. S.O. 63/P.A.8/ 2005/S.3/2022, dated the 15 July, 2022 and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Punjab Value Added Tax Act, 2005 (Punjab Act. 8 of 2005), and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to appoint Shri Arshdeep Singh Thind, I.A.S., as Taxation Commissioner for the purposes of the said Act, on and with effect from the 11 August, 2023 i.e. the date, he assumed the charge as such.
