As per amendment in sub-section 7 of Section 77 of the OVAT Act dated 29.09.2018 read with Rule 22 of the CST (O) Rules, all first appeal cases (under OVAT & CST Act) are to be disposed of within four years from the date of admission. It is now seen that there are no Joint Commissioner CT&GST (Appeal) in Cuttack I Range, Angul Range, Balasore Range, Bolangir Range, Koraput Range and Sambalpur Range.

Therefore, to ensure timely disposal of the pending 1st Appeal cases under OVAT, CST and OET Acts and in exercise of power vested under section 6 of the OVAT Act read with Rule 22 of the CST (O) Rules and Rule 34 of the Orissa Entry Tax Rules, it is hereby ordered that:-

(A) Sri Birendra Mohan Bebarta Patnaik, Additional Commissioner of CT&GST, Cuttack I Range shall hear and dispose of the appeal cases against orders passed by an Assistant Commissioner of Sales Tax / Sales Tax Officer under Cuttack I Range in addition to his normal duty as Territorial Range Head.

(B) Sri. Tejraj Pradhan, Additional Commissioner of CT&GST, Angul Range, Angul shall hear and dispose of the appeal cases against orders passed by an Assistant Commissioner of Sales Tax / Sales Tax officer under Angul Range in addition to his normal duty as Territorial Range Head.

(C) Sri. Akshya Kumar Patjoshi, Additional Commissioner of CT&GST, Balasore Range, Balasore shall hear and dispose of the appeal cases against orders passed by an Assistant Commissioner of Sales Tax / Sales Tax officer under Balasore Range in addition to his normal duty as Territorial Range Head.

(D) Sri. Bibekananda Bhoi, Additional Commissioner of CT&GST, Bolangir Range, Bolangir shall hear and dispose of the appeal cases against orders passed by an Assistant Commissioner of Sales Tax / Sales Tax officer under Bolangir Range in addition to his normal duty as Territorial Range Head.

(E) Sri. Janmejoy Jena, Additional Commissioner of CT&GST, Koraput Range, Jeypore shall hear and dispose of the appeal cases against orders passed by an Assistant Commissioner of Sales Tax / Sales Tax officer under Koraput Range in addition to his normal duty as Territorial Range Head.

(F) Sri. Jagdish Pandey, Additional Commissioner of CT&GST, Sambalpur Range, Sambalpur shall hear and dispose of the appeal cases against orders passed by an Assistant Commissioner of Sales Tax / Sales Tax officer under Sambalpur Range in addition to his normal duty as Territorial Range Head.
