THE CUSTOMS TARIFF ACT 1975 (Notification)

Notification No. 57/2016-Customs (N. T.), F.No.450/183/2014/-CusIV, Dated, 27th April, 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 98 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby directs that the provisions of sections 30 and 41 of the said Act shall apply to vessels carrying exclusively coastal goods operating from berths used by vessels carrying imported goods or export goods, as the case may be and the person-in-charge of such vessel or his agent shall deliver to the proper officer, a coastal manifest, prior to the arrival of the vessel or departure as the case may be, in the Form as given below.

3. Declaration.-

(1) We .declare that details mentioned above are stated to the best of our knowledge and belief and we certify that they are in accordance with the terms of contract entered into with the buyer/consignee in pursuance of which the goods are being loaded and transported.

(2) We have collected the particulars of the consignments (mentioned at SI. Nos.- --- to ------above) from the respective shippers along with the declaration from them certifying their correctness.
